What are screw cover caps?

A screw cover cap is a thin, self-adhesive disc that sticks directly over a screw head to conceal it. Instead of leaving a bare metal fixing on a visible surface — a wardrobe end panel, a shelf edge, the inside of a carcass — you peel, stick and press, and the screw disappears under a colour-matched finish.

How to match a screw cover cap to your board colour

A screw cover cap only looks invisible if the colour is right, so matching it to your board is the part worth getting right first. There are two ways to do it:

1. Search by decor code. Most boards carry a printed code somewhere on the edging, cut sheet, or delivery paperwork — this could be an Egger, Finsa, Kronospan, Swiss Krono or Pfleiderer code. How to apply a self-adhesive screw cover cap

Application takes seconds and needs no tools or extra adhesive:

1. Drive the screw flush, or very slightly below, the surface of the board.
2. Wipe the area clean and dry — dust or sawdust under the cap will affect the bond.
3. Peel the cap off the backing.
4. Centre it directly over the screw head.
5. Press firmly for a few seconds to secure the adhesive.
